On the View the guest was Nancy Pelosi, leader of the Democrats in the House. The banter lead by Barbara Walters and Whoopie Goldberg got going in a gutter level.
Nancy's husband was in the audience and Whoopie immediately led the discussion about "doing" Nancy's handsome husband. And then it further degenerated to maybe a three-way "do".
When should that ever be daytime television with a governmental leader...never. What should have Nancy done.
Walk off! She did not have to condone this type of talk. By staying and "winking" at this type of talk she missed a very visible teachable moment.
